Other Tech Information

Heel Security System
For 2007 Sidi introduces a new technology. Called the Heel Security system, the HSS reinforces the top of the heal cup and improves fit by closing the back of the shoe more securely around the rider’s ankle. Attack hard, power up a steep climb, your shoe will stay securely in place without cranking down on the straps til your foot falls asleep.

Carbon Soles: Friend or Faux
Cut apart one of our competitors’ “carbon” shoes and you’ll see that the actual area of carbon is often smaller than this sidebar. But conventional all-carbon soles would be so stiff they’d hurt riders’ feet. So SIDI developed a unique sole technology exclusively for its Ergo 2 and Genius 6.6 models. Its patented 100% carbon/carbon grid design allows the sole to be thicker where extra stiffness is needed, thinner where it’s not. (PS: The Sidi Hi Tech sole found on our other carbon shoes uses a two-piece carbon design, allowing just enough “give” for optimal efficiency & comfort.

Dragon SRS Soledragon srs sole

Show Dino Signori an offroad cycling shoe with a sole that “never needs replacing” and he’ll show you a shoe that slips when the going get tough. Or wet. Or rocky. Which brings us to the SRS system on Sidi’s Dragon 2 and Dominator 6 models. It’s made of black rubber bonded to red polyurethane for outstanding traction in all kinds of conditions without delaminating. And when they wear out, (which they certainly will if you put enough miles on sufficiently challenging terrain), you can easily replace them. The SRS soles, that is. Not your Sidis.
